So I began my massage journey with the London School of Sports Massage back in 2011. The course was fantastic and I knew I had found a career I would enjoy and felt very passionate about the work I would embark on.
I have always had an affinity with sport and have been actively involved in horse riding, netball, cycling, tennis and swimming. Luckily have been able to do all this locally in Eastbourne. I have been interested in the physiology behind athletes and am keen to help athletes and non-athletes alike strive to function as best as possible. I feel through the sports massage I am able to achieve this every working day!
Working at Lushington Chiropractic Clinic has not only given me the opportunity to help relieve aches and pains but there have been numerous fun and enjoyable experiences.
As a massage therapist I have provided mums with special Mother’s Day vouchers for an ultimate pampering treat. Taken part in an exciting summer Open Day where many enjoyed a tantalising taster massage leaving them wanting more. As well as interesting talks given by the Eastbourne chiropractors, massage therapists and the other practitioners we work with. Not to mention the 1st birthdays, leaving the rooms covered in exploding confetti and the Birthday meals!!
At Lushington, we also take part in several fund raising events.
Recently the chiropractors have done Hands for Heroes. Coming up they will be exchanging an adjustment for a toy to support the Salvation Army annual present appeal. We have also had the MoBros! James, Joe and Stuart – Well done!
And even more recently was the Santa Fun Run!
This was in aid of the Myasthenia Gravis Association and took part along Eastbourne Seafront on the 2nd Dec. We all decided to join the nearly 400 other Santas and took to the seafront. On entering the hall where we were all meeting it was like stepping into Lapland covered in replica Santas. There were big ones and little ones on scooters and then there were the tiny ones in prams! There was the odd elf too – Dan! – Great costume.
After a warm up en mass it was time to head out.
The poor walkers taking a casual stroll along the sunny Eastbourne seafront were suddenly greeted by an onslaught of running, jogging, walking or rollerblading Father Christmas’! It was great fun and met with cheers as the Santas crossed the finishing line to be greeted with a medal and a mince pie! A great day was had by all!
I’m not sure that even I could spot any of the chiropractic or massage team in this photo.
It’s these events which make working as a massage therapist in Lushington Chiropractic Clinic great fun both in and out of the clinic. What a great team we all make!
A Message from Lushington Chiropractic.
